With a career spanning over 25 years of Event Management experience MD Stephen Walker has orchestrated teams to run many major events including:
Turnberry’s Centenary Celebrations featuring Katherine Jenkins, Jools Holland and Eddie Reader in a series of 3 outdoor concerts on the Hotel lawns. Shortlisted for an Industry Leading Thistle Award the events secured £150k of sponsorship from local company Wm Grant under the Glennfiddich Brand. The 3 Concerts also formed the centrepiece of The Annual Burns Festival turning the celebrations into a unique private & public sector partnership also attracting £80k of public funding for local community marketing and promotion. The celebrations were rounded off with a Celebrity Charity Golf tournament raising £10k in support of The Ayrshire Hospice.
The 2009 Open Championship returned to Turnberry after 15 years, the accommodation programme was organised by MD Stephen Walker who sat on the Resort Organising Committee. A major Hotel renovation delay involved a potential crisis PR incident in a complex scenario between owners Leisurecorp and operators Starwood. The 2009 Open Championship also featured a unique partnership between Corporate Hospitality provider Sodexo and Resort Operator Starwood in a complex negotiation managed by Lighthouse MD Stephen Walker. Due to the Hotel renovation, The Open Championship Patron Days for Rolex RBS and others required a creative event solution delivered by Stephen Walker.
The 2012 Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex also Event Managed by Stephen and his team saw the creation and direction of a unique fly on the wall behind the scenes video which can be viewed here.

Prior to joining Starwood Stephen previously spent 3 years based in Scandic Hotels London International Sales office driving business into Sweden Norway & Denmark from the lucrative UK USA & Benelux markets. In this role he managed a complex private/public sector project with Swedish Travel & Tourism Council Scandinavian Airlines & Scandic Hotels to promote Stockholm as European City of Culture.
Earlier in his career Stephen gained valuable pre-opening experience at Dalmahoy Hotel Golf & Country Club on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Design and Branding
A designer with over 30 years working across most sectors, Andrew has specific experience of designing for hospitality and golf businesses. From 5 star resorts to gastropubs he has worked across the UK, Ireland and Europe with some of the best known hotel groups as well as independent operators.
Apart from working on his short back-swing, Andrew’s interest in golf has included working with Turnberry for 14 years, on the 2006 Ryder Cup at The K Club, and establishing a new standard of golf course guides for Gleneagles. Andrew runs his eponymous agency, Wolffe from central Edinburgh.
Event Management & Venue Sourcing
Andrew has over 30 years in the hospitality industry. Holding senior sales positions with Hilton and Marriott Hotels around the UK and Europe before returning to Scotland as Director of Sales at The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews.
Andrew has now been the owner and MD of one of Scotland’s leading Destination Management Companies for 15 years. This boutique agency specialises in delivering bespoke corporate events across Scotland from a range of European and US industry sectors.

Sarah has over 20 years’ experience working in the hospitality and luxury brand industry. Some of the brands that she worked for include W Hotels, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection and the world’s leading auction house, Christie’s. She then set up her own agency in 2011 and is a consultant in marketing, publishing, affinity brand partnerships and client experience.

As a Public Relations professional, Ginny has built up a wealth of media contacts and experience crossing many sectors including golf, lifestyle & food and drink. Ginny offers expert public and media relations in both B2B and B2C and has worked on a number of high profile campaigns with corporate and celebrity clients.
Offering a personal and bespoke service to a niche client base, clients feel well serviced across various media, enhancing brand exposure which in turn leads to increased turnover. Her career has spanned over 15 years and, during this time, she has become known for her innovative ideas and direction on both national and regional campaigns for public and private sector businesses.

As a professional voiceover artist, Television and Radio presenter Jenny has built up a wealth of media experience. Sharing this knowledge of what it is like in front of camera in a live broadcast situation is invaluable when your company has to deal with the media in any form of positive or negative scenario.
Being able to present yourself professionally under the glare of a media spotlight and reflecting your companies goals and values are key to the learning experience Jenny provides. Currently with the BBC her career has spanned West FM and more recently Smooth FM.
Golf Event Specialist & Professional Host
Andrew played on the European tour for almost 20 years from 1978, the highlight of which, was his victory in the Panasonic European Open in 1989. He has won on 4 continents in all. Subsequently creating a corporate golf business whilst competing on the European Senior Tour, Andrew Murray Golf Ltd. The client base of which is varied and includes several blue chip companies including Lexus, Toyota & Travis Perkins. Andrew has been part of BBC Radio 5 Live golf team for 25 years and is a global brand ambassador for several golf brands, Srixon, Glenmuir and Turnberry. He is a golf course design consultant and After Dinner speaker, and his golf schools and online tutorials are just another part of Andrew’s expanding business.
